Hire Us and Support Those in Need
Manna is always in search of ways to make our organization more self-sustaining, which is why we’ve launched a social enterprise program. According to the BC Centre for Social Enterprise, the term is described as follows: social enterprises are revenue-generating businesses with a twist. Whether operated by a non-profit organization or by a for-profit company, a social enterprise has two goals: to achieve social, cultural, community economic and/or environmental outcomes; and to earn revenue. In Manna’s case, the revenue earned from its social enterprise program circles back to our mission, which is feeding people in need and creating opportunities for them to thrive. The programs that generate revenue for us are catering by Manna’s talented chefs (both on- and off-site) and freshly baked cookies delivered weekly to banks and other businesses around La Plata County. We also have several meeting spaces and a commercial kitchen available for use on the Manna property. To learn more about hiring us, contact Manna today.
